Milan vs Genoa

Milan vs Genoa 1-1 (Beckham, 33' - Milito, 87')
Wednesday; January 28, 2009; at San Siro

Four games- 2 goals. Just three days after scoring his first goal for Milan, Beckham netted his second with a perfect free-kick in the 33rd minute into the top corner at the match against Genoa at San Siro, last nigth. An excellent David Beckham, who put the Rossoneri ahead 1-0. The former England captain has shown that he is a master of the free kick. But It was not enough as AC Milan conceded a late goal in a 1-1 draw with Genoa. In the 87th minute Diego Milito denied David Beckham a winning goal as AC Milan were held to a draw by Genoa.
1-0 for Milan and the game was already difficult for Genoa who were maybe not dangerous as usual, but were still a solid team who are tough to beat. The best chances for Milan arrived exclusively from free-kicks. Those of Andrea Pirlo were not less than his English team-mate. Andrea Pirlo also stepped up to show he was a dead ball specialist and was extremely unlucky not to hit the back of the net. However, Pato and Kaka found it difficult to find space in the first half with Sculli always ready to cover the Rossoneri's attacks.
For the Rossoneri this is the first home draw of the season following nine consecutive wins.

MILAN : Abbiati, Zambrotta, Maldini, Favalli, Jankulovski, Beckham, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Kaka, Pato.

GENOA: Rubinho, Modesto, Biava, Bocchetti, Mesto, Milanetto, Juric, Criscito, Thiago Motta, Milito, Sculli.
