Milan win 1-0 over Cagliari at San Siro. The Rossoneri's winning goal was scored by Clarence Seedorf in the 65th minute with used ball rebound by Cagliari goal keeper catching the ball in not properly.
The numerous absences don't stop the character and desire of Milan who in a difficult match manage to have the better of a tough Cagliari.

Played without strength Ronaldinho and Pato, Milan used the different formation on this game, whereas they usually used 4-3-2-1 formation but For the match against Massimiliano Allegri's Cagliari Ancelotti used used 4-4-1-1 formation with Inzaghi as a lone striker and placed Clarence Seedorf by himself behind Filippo Inzaghi.
It was a very reasoned match where Milan did not play at the highest gear. Milan appeared tired after its UEFA Cup match at Werder Bremen on Wednesday night but Inzaghi making good movements it could be seen that Andrea Pirlo was in a good day as he played two sublime assists for the striker who in the 8th minute tried a nice volley finding a confident block by Marchetti.
Cagliari's confident football was displayed already in the 15th minute. Acquafresca in fact finalised a good move by his team mates from inside the area but Abbiati's stop with his feet was efficient.

The first half continued with very few emotions as Clarence Seedorf seemed to suffer from some physical problems that slowed him down. The last danger before the first half was in the Milan penalty area: Cossu's hit forced Abbiati to block the ball with a reflex to tip the ball over the bar that earned the applause of San Siro.
The grit, anger, and determination of the Milan striker became fundamental in the 20th minute, when Pippo was launched in the area, and with his simple presence he created confusion, putting Marchetti in difficulty and forcing him to make a short stop, which allowed Clarence Seedorf to tap it in to bring Milan in front.
Cagliari's imaginative play nevertheless did not produce any major problems for Abbiati, while his colleague Marchetti was forced to keep concentrated with Beckham's numerous crosses and Pirlo and Seedorf's penetrations.

Carlo Ancelotti is very satisfied with the performance of Milan against Cagliari.
"Today the team reacted very well to the difficulties. My thanks goes to the players who have given everything to make up for the numerous absent players." His said after the match. As if not influence with rumor about himself replacement with Leonardo as AC Milan presideent Silvio Berlusconi was beckoned. The rumour Berlusconi did not satisfied with drew result opponent Bremen where Milan lead ahead in the 36th but Bremen equate score 6 minutes approach end to fight.
