Berlusconi on David Beckham's

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is ready to step in and ensure David Beckham stays on at the club, and he will try and convince everyone involved in the deal, like he did when Kaka rejected Manchester City.
Italian dailies sport, Corriere dello Sport claimed the president has been watching the Beckham saga unfold, but with no end in sight, Berlusconi is about to show his hand and convince Los Angeles Galaxy to part company with their man on a permanent basis.
AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti also said the club is still pursuing their attempts to make Beckham's short-term loan move permanent despite LA Galaxy rejecting their initial offer of £6.7 million.
"I hope he plays for us for a long time," Ancelotti added. "The deal is being negotiated and we still have time."
According to England's Daily Mirror, the Galaxy are asking AC Milan for $22 million for Beckham, quite a gap from the $10 million Milan initially offered.
