Ancelotti May Get A Contract Extension

Will we see Carlo Ancelotti is on Milan's bench next season we don't know yet. At football, anything could happen.

The 52-year-old Italian, who was reported to be the Blues' Chelsea first choice to replace temporary coach Guss Hiddink who will return is as permanent Russians. If Ancelotti goes to Chelsea, the current coach of Roma Luciano Spaletti is the first choice for the Rossoneri.

Ancelotti, Serie A's longest serving coach having been appointed in 2001, led Milan to European Cup triumphs in 2003 and 2007 but has captured only one league title -- in 2004.

However, Ancelotti has once again reiterated his desire to remain at the Rossoneri.

"I will stay on for next season at least and we are already working towards strengthening the squad," added Ancelotti. "I'm not going to Chelsea.

"I am used to all the reports and they will probably continue, but it's not a problem."

According to the report comes from Mediaset journalist Carlo Pellegatti, who always keeps a close tab on all things Milan, as he revealed president Silvio Berlusconi and vice-president Adriano Galliani's plans for the future to Sportmediaset.

Milan have decided to hold on to Carlo Ancelotti. There will be no goodbyes between the coach and the Via Turati club, as had often been suggested by reports recently. It seems there is even a chance Ancelotti's contract will be extended by one year, to 2011.

The coach also has a wish that sooner or later, he will coach AS Roma.
