Maldini: Milan Will Not Win The Champion League without Kaka

Milan-The former AC Milan captain Paolo Maldini felt lost with departure of Kaka to Real Madrid. He said Wednesday the club has no chance of winning the Champions League next season without Kaka.

The Brazilian confirmed his move to Madrid for a reported €65 million with a six year contract on Monday, saying he hoped his sale would help ease Milan's financial woes.

"To think of winning the Champions League without Kaka is a utopian objective," Maldini said on Milan's Web site on Wednesday.

"He’s one of the five best players in the world, just like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. This decision was taken badly by my team-mates and the fans."

But the legend believed that Milan's story goes on, although their had so many farewells but this team always started again greatly with bigger objectives.

"As a player, when Baresi quit, I felt almost lost, I was missing a morale and physical support, I was seeing a black future, but then the club worked well and everything started again," his said.

Kaka will play for Real Madrid next season, it that mean there is one space at the team as a second striker. And there is possibility Ronaldinho will replaced him for this space.

Maldini does feel that new coach Leonardo will not have to look too far to find a replacement for the 2007 World Player of the Year.

"Ronaldinho will have a lot of responsibility next season. Last year he didn't surpass himself, but I think this responsibility will do him good."
