Ancelotti May Get A Contract Extension

Will we see Carlo Ancelotti is on Milan's bench next season we don't know yet. At football, anything could happen.

The 52-year-old Italian, who was reported to be the Blues' Chelsea first choice to replace temporary coach Guss Hiddink who will return is as permanent Russians. If Ancelotti goes to Chelsea, the current coach of Roma Luciano Spaletti is the first choice for the Rossoneri.

Ancelotti, Serie A's longest serving coach having been appointed in 2001, led Milan to European Cup triumphs in 2003 and 2007 but has captured only one league title -- in 2004.

However, Ancelotti has once again reiterated his desire to remain at the Rossoneri.

"I will stay on for next season at least and we are already working towards strengthening the squad," added Ancelotti. "I'm not going to Chelsea.

"I am used to all the reports and they will probably continue, but it's not a problem."

According to the report comes from Mediaset journalist Carlo Pellegatti, who always keeps a close tab on all things Milan, as he revealed president Silvio Berlusconi and vice-president Adriano Galliani's plans for the future to Sportmediaset.

Milan have decided to hold on to Carlo Ancelotti. There will be no goodbyes between the coach and the Via Turati club, as had often been suggested by reports recently. It seems there is even a chance Ancelotti's contract will be extended by one year, to 2011.

The coach also has a wish that sooner or later, he will coach AS Roma.

Ancelotti: I'm not satisfied with the way we're playing

"I'm not satisfied with the way we're playing, but we are looking for solutions to play better." AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said to press confrence ahead of Milan-Torino.

The Rossoneri who head into the match in third place welcome Torino to San Siro on Sunday. With top two Inter Milan and Juventus going head to head at the Stadio Olimpico, Milan have the opportunity to gain ground on at least one of their rivals against relegation-threatened Toro.

"I don't think I will support Inter tonight, but I will have the pleasure of seeing a great match. This week we saw some very good games in the Champions League, let's hope Italian football can offer the same spectacle."

Carlo Ancelotti's team beat Chievo 1-0 last weekend courtesy of a Clarence Seedorf goal, and are two points behind second-placed Juventus with seven games remaining.

Juventus defeat to Inter it would see the Rossoneri take second spot, and the coach believes a runners-up finish is a realistic aim for his side.

Ancelotti, who serves a touchline ban tomorrow, said: "We believe it is possible to overtake Juventus and climb to second.

"Juvetus will have to be careful because they have to play against Inter and for us this is a big motivation in order to leapfrog them in the standings."

In which the results are not in line with the performances

"In which the results are not in line with the performances." A piece of words by AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti at the end os Sampdoria-Milan 2-1. The Rossoneri did not play in an exceptional way, whereas In the first half Milan did not play quickly and the fact that they had just one attacker on the pitch penalized them in the offensive phase.

Sampdoria was successfulytook advantage from Milan, especially for the systematic fouls on Pato. Every time he started to run he was being stopped. They blocked him so not to allow him to gain speed. He suffered many evident fouls and was not protected at all.

"I’m sure that by working well, we can make it end soon, From this point of view it’s fundament to recover the injured players (let’s hope that next week will be decisive for Kaka and Ronaldinho) as well as winning next Sunday. The turning point will be after the match against Atalanta: there will be a battle, we will have to suffer, but afterwards things will surely improve.”

"For the Champions League there's us, Genoa, Fiorentina and Roma: we all start on the same level, But we have very good possibilities because we are ahead now and also with the recovery of the injured players, our results can only improve."
