Brazilian international Kaka has finally made the switch from AC Milan to Real Madrid. After successfully passed a Real Madrid medical in the city of Recife, Brazil while he was on international duty with Brazil.
On Monday evening, local time, Kaka completed one of the most monumental transfers, worth approximately €65 million for a six-year contract.

The deal was made official after the 27-year-old spoke with Milan president Silvio Berlusconi over the telephone, although Milan officials have been reluctantly admitting over the past few days that there was the possibility their player could leave the San Siro.

Kaka has revealed why he and the club decided to part company, while he also looked forward to a challenging future with Los Blancos.

"My desire was to stay at Milan, but the world financial crisis has affected a lot of clubs, especially Milan," he told the media.

"As such, I spoke with the Milan board and we concluded that the best thing for everyone would be to sell me."

There was a possibility Kaka would take over Zinedine Zidane's famous No. 5 jersey at the Santiago Bernabeu, but he has politely declined the offer.

"Using the No. 5 would be a big responsibility," he reasoned.

"Zidane was an excellent player for both Real Madrid and the French national team, and I would prefer not to use the same number as him. But let's wait a little longer before we decide.

Kaka revealed he rejected the move to England as he did not want to leave Milan mid-season.

"I can officially say I'm a Real Madrid player. My professional link with AC Milan finishes now, but my sentimental link will never end,'' he said.

"Real Madrid intend to build a great team, with historic players such as Raul and Casillas. We will make history again, both in Spain and Europe. I guess the sport project is very good.

"Manchester City and Real Madrid are two different clubs with different situations. At that time (January), it was mid-season, I had a strong emotional impact due to the Italian fans requesting me to stay, and I decided to stay.

AC Milan gave Kaka a glowing tribute on their website.

"From next season, Kaka will play at Real Madrid," read the statement. "AC Milan [thank] the man and the great champion Kaka for his decisive contribution to the many victories achieved in the six years of his commitment.

"The lost technique, while serious, can be remedied. It will be very difficult to fill the void that will be left by Kaka, a shining example of professionalism, commitment and professionalism."

Kaka signed for hometown club Sao Paolo at the age of 15 and overcame a career-threatening spinal injury to help his team win the Torneio Rio-Sao Paulo title in 2001, his debut season.

Leave Or Remain-There Will BE A Decision On Sunday

The future of AC Milan Brazilian playmaker Kaka was shrouded in mystery. Real Madrid are set to go on a spending spree following the return of Florentino Perez as the club's president. Despite Kaka not wishing to leave AC Milan it is believed the offer was too good to turn down and, unlike with Manchester City in January, it seems unlikely the player will reject the move.

Sunday, june 07th is the day which the people waiting for, where of the day the club will anounce Kaka's future on whether to join Real Madrid or stay at Milan.

As reported, AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said Kaka's future will be decided in a board meeting Sunday.

"On Sunday we will have a meeting to discuss transfer policy and in that arena we will decide Ricky’s future,” explained Berlusconi on Milan Channel.

"We will see what happens then, but the situation is not to be taken for granted. Kaka might not necessarily leave."

Kaka has repeatedly said he does not want to play his football away from the San Siro. "I'll say it for the last time. The last time. I don't want to leave Milan," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "In this period I prefer to remain silent because I don't want to be misunderstood. Or, worse still, to be used."

"To the millions of Milan supporters, I say that I have made my choice. I have said what I want to stay."

AC Milan are set for a major rebuilding exercise following the departure of long-term boss Carlo Ancelotti and the appointment of Leonardo. Milan know they need funds for their new coach to play with and cashing in on the 27-year-old attacking midfielder is seen as one way of providing that.

No Deal With Real Madrid - Kaka

"There is no agreement with Real Madrid and it is not true that the player has already signed a contract with the Spanish club," Bosco Leite, father and representing lawyer of the footballer Kaka said in a statement on Milan's official website (www.acmilan.com).

Spanish sports newspaper Marca reported Saturday that Perez had negotiated a fee of euro63 million (US$85 million) for Kaka, who had agreed to sign a five-year contract with an annual salary of euro8 million ($10.8 million) should Perez regain control of the Spanish club.

"Kaka remains concentrated on the last matches of the season and remains very tied to Milan. Any piece of information on the player's career is only to be considered official and credible if it comes through his representative or through Milan. Any other source of information is to be considered inaccurate," continued Bosco.

Kaka, the 2007 World Player of the Year, have ever told last month he wanted to stay with Milan and had not been in contact with Madrid.
Earlier this season, Manchester City failed in an attempt to sign the Brazil midfielder after bidding around euro110 million (then $147 million).

"Milan is a great club and I believe in its project," AC Milan's Kaka said in an interview with Aujourd'hui Sports, Monday.
Kaka still believes Milan can challenge for future titles if there is a balance between the youngster and experienced players.

"Emerson has gone and Maldini will end his carreer therefore we have to rejuvenate the squad and to strengthen it," declared Kaka.

AC Milan Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka insists he still believes a championship is possible for the Rossoneri.

AC Milan attacker midfielder Kaka celebrates his 27th birthday, the sixth one at Milan.

The first time that Ricky Kaka celebrated his birthday in Milan, as a Milanista, he was almost Italian champion. The club have wished their man a very happy birthday as has Andriy Shevchencko who added a special message for the Brazilian.

"I wish many positive and great things to Kaka. He has everything in life and I hope he is happy and wish that he is happy as a player and with his family," Shevchenko told Sky Sport Italia.

During his sixth Milanese birthday, the sixth one of a journey which started in 2003 and still going on in 2009, the Brazilian champion will be in Budapest, at the Ferenc Puskas stadium, where Ricky will take part to the friendly match against the Hungarian League Team, a selection of the best players in the Hungarian league.

Kaka wants Steven Gerrard

AC Milan Brazilian attacking midfielder Richardo Kaka has urged the Rossoneri to try to sign Steven Gerrard in summer.

"A cycle is ending. The time has arrived to re-energise a group which has many players at the end of their contracts," the Brazil playmaker told Italy's Sky television on Wednesday.

"Gerrard is a complete player and can play anywhere. I could see him fitting in really well at Milan." added Kaka, who almost joined Manchester City for a world record fee in January.

AC Milan's Richardo Kaka has denied holding talks with Real Madrid and said he wants to stay with the Serie A club.

Spanish media said prospective Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had agreed with Milan to sign Kaka in the off-season, having failed to attain the Brazilian when he was in charge at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"I want to stay here, I have shown it already. I didnt' have any contract with Real Madrid". Kaka told Thursday's Gazzetta dello Sport.

Kaka agrees £8M-a-year Real Madrid contract

AC Milan star Kaka is ready to join Florentino Perez's Real Madrid revolution.

AS says Kaka is willing to join Perez's presidential ticket after being offered terms worth a clear £2.5 million-a-year more than what he is currently on at Milan.

Kaka will earn £8 million-a-year - after tax - at Real, with his father and agent Bosco Leite having negotiated the deal with Perez.

Meanwhile, despite denials from Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, Perez is said to have spoken several times with him over the phone about Kaka's transfer.

Milan must sell big this summer to fund their own transfer plans and chose to cash in on 27 year-old Kaka rather than young Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato.

Brazilian playmaker Kaka rejected a world record move to Manchester City on Monday and pledged his immediate future to Italian side AC Milan.
Media reports said Premier League side City, who became the world's richest club after they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group in September, had bid 110 million euros (£101 million) for one of soccer's most-coveted players.

Double The World Record for Kaka

Manchester City intensified its pursuit of AC Milan midfielder Kaka on Thursday by increasing its offer to more than double the world record and has received permission to negotiate directly with the Brazilian player, Kaka.

And AC Milan announced on its TV channel that it is considering a new, higher bid reportedly worth up to €120 million ($157 million) for the 26-year-old former FIFA world player of the year.

Clarence Seedorf has said that he would be surprised to see Kaka leave Milan for Manchester City this month.

"It would surprise me if he would leave in this month, but on the other hand, I don't know what the personal motivations could be from his side and also from the club." The Dutchman told Sky Sports News of the hyper-offer.

Clarence Seedorf, Kaka's Milan team-mate who has played for great Ajax and Real Madrid sides in the past, has revealed that Kaka's attitude has not changed in recent days, despite the chaos surrounding his future.
