Beckham was expected to be call up
AC Milan's David Beckham probably take be apart for the Rossoneri Serie A clash at Siena on Sunday. Beckham has declared himself fit to be ready to travel to Siena despite injuring his ankle in training on Tuesday.
"I twisted it (ankle) on Tuesday but it's a lot better today the swelling's gone down," the 33-year-old told ESPN.
The former England captain able to complete the full training session on Thursday, even taking part in the practice match between the ranks.
"I still probably won't train in the next day or two but I should be okay for the weekend so it's all good."
"I was actually running on the sand this morning."
He has started every league match for Milan since making his debut against Roma on January 11 and he's confident he will be fit enough to keep his place in the team for the trip to the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
